Behind the Screen
Ninestone Corner is a strange little independent shop for tabletop gamers, fantasy fans, dice goblins and anyone drawn to cursed things.
I’m based in England, but Ninestone Corner has a much wider reach, with orders made and shipped from locations around the world.
I’ve always been into TTRPGs, folklore, strange stories and weird little worlds that feel like they could exist somewhere just out of sight.
I’ve run a few D&D style campaigns of my own over the years, but I’ve never really been one for following the books properly. I usually end up homebrewing everything and making my own places, characters, creatures and stories instead.
Ninestone came from that same habit
It’s a cursed, colourful and deeply unserious little world that I’ve been slowly building, where strange characters gather around the Ninth Stone.
The Ninth Stone stands at the centre of a dark, ancient forest known simply as The Woods. It’s a huge, weathered monument that looks far too precisely made to have ended up there by accident.
Some say it was built by giants as an altar to their long-forgotten gods. Others think it was placed there by beings from another world, as some kind of marker for their eventual return.
I created the place, and even I’m not sure who to believe.
Outside of Ninestone, I’m currently learning Japanese (日本語は大変ですよ) and I’m about to start learning the violin, purely because I want to play The Rains of Castamere.
Welcome to Ninestone Corner.
